As ubiquitous in food shows as collagen is in reality tv, Voodoo Doughnut can be seen on Man v. Food and Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations to name a few and I just knew I had to come here if Bourdain said it was good. And it was here that I discovered the best use of bacon - the Bacon Maple Bar. It's a perfectly fluffy doughnut, covered in sweet maple icing and then topped with 2 slices of crispy bacon. Bacon and maple are a match made in slovenly heaven. Another notable is the Memphis Mafia - a giant fritter mixed with banana and cinnamon sugar and then topped with chocolate frosting, peanut butter, chocolate chips and peanuts! Along with obesity, I think I might develop diabetes but after eating this doughnut, you will understand and accept me.
