Hm, only 2 seats. I guess we’re taking it to go… Perusing through the menu… SPC has the usual suspects like Hawaiian and Pepperoni but they also have some original flavors grouped cleverly by colours, shades, elements (earth, fire, etc) and others. I scroll down to the bottom and something catches my eye. There's a $120 pizza??? A $450 PIZZA??? C'est ridiculous, non?
Chump change for a local food blogger, right? HA. We decide on 2 more economical choices and wait in anticipation...
Flame - $20 (Regular)
BBQ Chicken breast, pineapple, onion, green pepper and jalapenos
It's a good BBQ chicken pizza. You take a bite, chew, you take another bite and before you know it, you're halfway through your slice... Lots of chicken, lots of pineapple, lots of sauce... It's good but then there's a tingle on your tongue... Before you know it, your mouth is ON FIRE. The jalapenos have landed. Awesome. Flame on indeed.
C2 - $28 (Regular)
Serrano ham, Buffalo mozzarella, brie, semi-dried Roma tomatoes, dollop of roasted garlic mousse
You had me at Serrano ham. And there's plenty of it draped over every slice of this pizza. Tons of ham, mozzarella everywhere and there's a mound of roma tomatoes on every slice. Someone get the paddles cuz I've died and gone to pizza heaven. It's very quite in the room. You know the food is good when all you hear is breathing and chewing. Will the Piglets be back? Heck yeah! In fact, the Piglets, Burro and WC have already planned to go back in the next couple weeks when the weather gets a little better and we can eat it outside in the picturesque area of Steveston. Nothing beats a great view of the water on a sunny day with an overloaded pizza in hand. Come to Steveston and see what the hubbub is about. Bon appetite!
Pros:
- Excellent pizza
- Friendly and fast service on a Wednesday night
- Free parking
- Wide variety of flavors
- Original and funky flavor combinations/topping available
Cons:
- No seating area - basically take out only
- No delivery
- Higher pricing - but you're getting a lot of quality ingredients
- No dough options - it's a basic white crust or nothing!
