Gelato is more intensely flavored than ice cream because when making it, less air is whipped in. Gelarmony claims to make their gelato in small batches and in the Sicilian style, meaning it's much more rich and dense than gelato from other parts of Italy. Gelarmony also serves cakes, coffees and other cafe items but it's the gelato we're here for and that's what we'll get! A little tight in here so we're going to take ours on the road...
Mango and Lychee - $3.99 (one cone with two flavors)
The mango tastes like mango! - Mr. Piglet. Well.... yeah, I hope so! LOL. The mango is a smooth gelato that has that sweet and a bit of tart that real mangoes do and I'm glad I picked it. The lychee on the other hand had a really nice lighter lychee flavor but it also had a few icier chunks and definitely not as smooth as the mango flavor. Still very good but just kinda chunky. I think next time I'll order a more robust flavor with the mango because the lychee flavor was lost a bit after eating the mango flavor.
After Eight and Hedgehog - $3.99 (one cone with two flavors)
After Eight is basically chocolate chip mint and Hedgehog is hazlenut chocolate - you can't go wrong! Smooth peppermint gelato with flecks of chocolate and thick chocolate flavor with hints of hazelnut. If you're a chocolate lover, these are flavors you should definitely get.Pros:
- Delicious gelato
- Moderate number of flavors to choose from
- Awkward space - really long and narrow and not enough seats if you're wanting to sit down
- Cash only
- Lineups on warm days during prime gelato-ing hours and the service tends to plummet at those points as well
