There aren't a lot of going-ons in terms of farmer's markets during the week. There's the Thornton Park FM on Wednesdays but that's about it so when I heard there was a small farmer's market happening on Thursday nights just a drive across the bridge, I dragged Mr. Piglet's tired hiney out to take a look. They also have two small food trucks in attendance so Mr. Piglet was willing to accompany me.
They have some of the regular farmer vendors that I've seen before like Frostbauer Farms (got me some awesome golden beets!) and A Bread Affair but also some jewelery and craft vendors that are new to me.

Can I interest you in some mini donuts?
I got a giant bunch of mint and basil for cheap from this lady... She was super sweet...
Gotta have a bit of entertainment. In this case, balloon animals for the kids and music for everyone.
Overall, if you're in the area, this is definately worth the stroll down - I got some great local and organic produce as I would have at other markets. It's just too bad it isn't as elaborate and grand as some of the other FMs we've been to this year to provide some variety (which makes sense since there isn't the population density vs. Vancouver). Either way, worth the visit and better than getting produce from a supermarket chain. Bon appetite!
Pros:
- Organic fresh produce is available like most other markets
- Free street parking
- Less crowded as it is smaller in size
- Cash only (you can buy vouchers but it's just much easier with cash)
- Smaller in size vs other markets - less variety of vendors to go to and there wasn't much in the way of plants
- Sold out of produce early in the evening
